Ramsey Asset Management is actively committed to philanthropic causes dedicated to at-risk families through education and healthcare programs. Efforts are managed through the W. Russell and Norma Ramsey Foundation, which is chaired by Norma Ramsey, and involves volunteer support, scholarship funding , board membership, in-kind donations, and financial grants.

For example, The Ramsey Family Scholarship Fund (started in 1999) has donated more than a quarter of a million dollars in the form of full tuition scholarships to at-risk students in the DC Metro area. Other philanthropic endeavors include being founding members of Knock Out Abuse Against Women and the innovative Venture Philanthropy Partners, as well as being involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Make-a-Wish Mid-Atlantic Board, the Capitol Hill Computer Corner Board, School Night, and the Inova Health Systems Foundation.
